Robbie Perkins

Robbie now holds the Cavalry all-time home run record, 3 World Classic Baseball championship appearances, Stints in the minor leagues and a Cavalry MVP
George Callil
Another Aussie who made his way over to the States and returned home, George Callil is joining the Cavalry for the 2024 season. Callil, who spent the last 2 years with the Melbourne Aces, previously spent five years as a part of the South Carolina Gamecocks as a stellar batsman and fielder
In his career at South Carolina, he was one of the most efficient shortstops in the competition, committing only 10 errors over both his senior and fifth year. George posted a .446 On-Base Percentage in his Senior year, and had 29 runs scored, eight doubles, a triple, two home runs and 15 RBI to go along with six stolen bases
George will be a valuable addition to the Cavalry team and everything the team has planned for the upcoming season.
Cam Warner
The hometown hero who took it across the water and made it big. Cam Warner has spent the last 7 years with the Cavalry, following in the footsteps of his brother Ben. Before tearing it up on home soil though, Cam was representing over in the American College System.
Big 12 honours, All tournament teams, All regional MVP’s. Honestly, it might be quicker to list what Cam hasn’t achieved. He’s a huge part of what the Cavalry represent and how far this team can go
Matt Beattie
The big man out of Melbourne Australia brings with him more than just some fresh blood. Beatie has been playing pro ball since he was 17 with the Melbourne Aces, and has most recently represented Australia at the WBSC U23 World Cup team. His play brought with it the attention of the Detroit Tigers of the MLB. Matt built his repertoire with their minor league affiliates, racking up some pretty impressive stats along the way, including 14 strikeouts in 11.2 innings.
Ryo Kohigashi
Originally from Japan, Ryo will add to the pitching arms this season. After previously playing with Aukland Tuatara and more recently with Brock Baseball Club, Québec, Ryo is coming down under for the 2024/25 season!
Jeremy Atkinson
Jeremy comes to the Cavalry from Brisbane, following his time with the Bandits and more recently with the Blue Sox. The 34 year old veteran will be a valuable arm out of the Cavalry bullpen as a relief pitcher.
Jacob Teter
Coming straight off a stellar season in the states, Jacob joined the Cavalry Roster as the current home run leader through 53 games with 16 Home runs and 55 RBI’s. He is also sitting 4th in batting average (.342) and has been named on the All-Star team roster. The slugger reached has high as Double-A in his minor league career, which spanned from 2021-2024 with the Baltimore Orioles and Houston Astros. Since signing with the Chicago Dogs of the American Association, Teter’s numbers have exploded. He had a 40 game on-base-streak earlier in the season. Jacob will add boost of power to the Canberra line-up this season.
Jon Kennedy
His team Australia’s experience and successful record in the ABL has earned Jon a spot as one of the most formidable pitchers in the league. Jon began his baseball career with the Melbourne Aces in 2012. After three successful seasons, his impressive performance earned him a spot with the Atlanta Braves Organization in 2015. Starting in the minor leagues in 2016, Kennedy’s skills led to his selection for the Australian national team in the 2017 World Baseball Classic. By 2018, he was competing in Triple-A with the Gwinnett Stripers, maintaining strong stats.
Kennedy returned to the ABL full-time in 2019, where he dominated with a 0.35 ERA, helping the Melbourne Aces win their first Claxton Shield in the modern era. He also represented Australia in the 2019 WBSC Premier 12 competition. In the 2020-21 ABL season, he continued to excel, contributing to the Aces’ second consecutive title. His ERA is trending down, but Big Jon Kennedy is certainly trending up and we can’t wait to see him on the mound at the fort this season!
Sam Kimmorley
Sam Kimmorley spent 4 years of college ball split between Lakeland Community College and Huntington University IN. The upcoming 2024-25 season will mark Sam’s 3rd in a cavalry uniform as he continues to serve in a jack of all trades role. At the plate, Sam is a reliable force with on base percentages of .320 and .269, but his real talents lie in the field. Name a position around the park and you can be sure that Sam has been slotted in at one point or another, you’d half expect him to be playing 2 positions at once. From baseman to shortstop, infield to outfield, Sam Kimmorley has got you covered. No matter the position, Sam Kimmorley’s got you covered.s team Australia’s experience and successful
Cam Tilly
Canberra Born and bred, The Canberra Cavalry rookie of the year is once again donning the orange ahead of the 2024-25 season. Cameron’s Cavalry tenure began following a 4 year stint in the American College system split between the NCAA and Collegiate Summer League. His best year saw him appear in 40 games recording 37 RBI, 7 home runs and 3 stolen bases. Cam is set to bring this batting prowess and his love for the game every series this year and were thankful to have him on our side.
Miles Simington
At only 25, Miles Simington’s playing experience far outweighs his years. The Illinois Native has spent time in the Summer Collegiate League for Sanford, Traverse City and Lafayette, the NCAA as a boilermaker as well as South Alabama. Simington is a safe set of hands anywhere in the outfield, but his real skills lie with a bat. Miles in his entire college and independent career has never posted and OBP of less than .302 as well as recording above .380 6 separate times. In fact, Simington is coming off a season where he batted in 65 runs to accompany 28 stolen bases and 7 home runs for the Winnipeg goldeyes of the American Association of Professional Baseball.
